Who said putting in headlining is a rotten job? No need for glue or tools with this kit. Just a tad more expensive

Hi Onne,
Looking at the sill pictures, the inner step seemed solid and had only a small bit of surface rust but mainly paint. Just wondering why you cut it out?

Actually I don't really know... I didn't nae cut it out. I did wonder why he did. But I asked him to replace the complete sill, and I now know also a bit of floor

Yes, I agree with Ray, I would have kept the inner sill. A go over with wire brush on grinder and painting with rust retardent paint was all it needed.

What is very worrying is that you have also removed the a pillar as well as the sill and the floor being weak and not braced the door gaps!!

I hope you at least measured everything up. Twice. It looks like the chap who is on the cutting wheel is not that familliar with the structure of the minor!!!

It is braced. But not visible. Two braces going diagonally. I will warn him again though, because he is indeed not familiar with Minors. He normally does Mercedes

Lets hope it turns out OK!!!

I am keeping my fingers crossed now, you got me worried now. Fortunately, the general structure of the car is quite good.

I will go and ask why in 'eck he removed the inner sill

If its braced, it should be OK!! I was just worried that you'd lose the door gap!

It is not his first car to weld. You should see his Merc. That hasn't got any floor, just a bit of sill on either side
