There are no kits, you just buy the bits you want to change.

That filter only went to 'Export' countries so we don't have them in the UK. Can you measure the thickness of the metal rod and see how many turns of thread there would be in one inch of rod?

I checked it on my filters, it looks like 5 mm, but the metric 5 tapped does not go in the nut for more than a few windings.
So it must be the BSF thread , possible 3/16 " ?

The part number for the air cleaner wing nut is AAA3936 / 184825 (MOSS).
A plain washer and a spring washer is also fitted and are installed under the wing nut - plain washer against the top of the filter.
I would suggest that the wing nut required is 1/4" UNF or at most 5/16" UNF.

I don't have a series MM. My car is much later but these look like windscreen wiper wheel box spacers. They go on the inside of the bulkhead fitted to the shaft of the wiper wheel box.

Hi Sven,
Thank you for identifying them. Found them along with wiper arm and wiper motor and the wheel box set.
Do you have any picture on where actually will they be going ?
One of the wiper arm first 2 threads are damaged. Any idea on the thread pitch so that i can tap it right.
Bought these from Spares man Mr Bryan gostling.

regards

It goes like this. It holds the wheel box at the correct angle on the inside of bulkhead. These are parts from a much later car.

Hi All,
The car is all stripped and what i observed is that the mechanic has not made a note or grouped the bolts & nuts removed.
Request for support to identify, the first sets is attached below.

Again I don't know much about series MM but aren't they wheel bolts (later cars use studs and nuts)? There are only 11.......should be 12.

My thoughts were also that the only bolts I could think of, with the Conical Chamfer, were wheel bolts.
There were 2 different types used on the MM cars, pre/post Jan '52.

https://www.morrisminorspares.com/searc ... wheel-bolt

But these look to be 2 or 3 threads longer than the current offerings.

Those are the bolts which hold the door hinge onto the pillar I think you'll find. There should be 14 of them: 4 on each top hinge and 3 on each bottom.
As an aside: Every Minor as far as I know has 4 bolts (or nuts) on each wheel, so there should be 16 of them in total.

To paraphrase Rex Harrison.... By Jove I think he's got it! :tu1:
I was racking my brains trying to think of another bolt with the chamfer.
When you get that niggling feeling you're missing something......

The bolts pradeepprabhua hasn't shown might be in the door frames holding the backing plates up.... :-?

Maths was never my strong point but anyway you are correct and I was wrong anyway!

Thanks and yes, you are right ,there are 14 of them. They removed and misplaced themand i found them. Iam concerned about what they would have done to the threads by putting some other bolts and screws as shown in picture attached.
If i want to retain the original ones then what should i do if the Nuts on the frame are changed.

Request for the following
1. The picture of frame nut for door hinges both on the door and the frame.
2. What is the counter sunk screw size at Striker plate and door locating socket.? The thread type. ?
3. What type and how the frame nuts are located for these striker plate and door locating socket? (The mechanic has removed the original nut and put a single plate). Request to share the pictures if anyone has.
