But then being 3d and all..... which reminds me Mog was also in 7 as part of choco/Mog =] and as for IX, well stiltzkin was much cooler! Or that purple post moogle, The one that used all the super slick?

Shows how young I am. Actually it's Moggie, because that was the first "Morrisy" nickname I came across when I was first reading up on Minors.
i usuqally hate bumper stickers, however this one is just perfect for your car!

Hi, as a fairly new owner, thought I would make a post. Mine is called Daffy, partially because of the Cornish number plate, DAF, and partly because at the moment she is a bit of an ugly duckling. The previous owner called her Daphne.
Just as an aside, my daughter has a Riley Elf, called Dobby (Harry Potter). Her previous mini was called Tango, because it was orange. She carried on calling it Tango, even after I resprayed it British racing green

I always try to find a name from the letters, but RDA didnt let itself to much except Rita, and i didnt like Rita! So my smoke grey minor is called Bluey, well technically her full name is 'Bluey Grey', but only when she's in trouble
The other one, the dark blue two door, has LUT on the plate, and i didn't like the name Luther, so he ended up being called Monty, after Monty Python, due to the killer cars in 'and now for something completely different' being minors and oxfords.
After he was named, the previous owner told me it used to be called Lotte based on the LUT. So it turns out i've given my 2 door a sex change...

I call mine "Patch" - from patches of paint, patches of rust, repair patches!

I like this!
Realising that it is the done thing for minor owners to name their cars (not so common it seems in the local Jag club!) I have been trying to come up with something suitable!
Both my grandfathers had Minors in the 50's and I really like the idea of naming mine after one, just have to decide which one!
Thanks for the idea!

I bought a 1970 van on Saturday that has a years MOT and tax and the van has several names which are not repeatable as it spent 3 days in a garage being repaired and on the way home after picking it up yesterday it broke down.Got it going and another fault has it gone back to the garage.

Our LCV is called Fin - purely because of the number plate letters, and hubby does not like naming our cars so I couldn't give him a cozy name! In the past we had a 62 2 dr saloon called Alec (A...LC), and a 59 2dr saloon called Basil (BSL...). Morris Van, so sorry to hear that your new LCV is misbehaving; hope he (and your wallet!) soon feel better so you can start to enjoy the LCV experience.

Yay! Another Fin!

By-the-bye, I'm happy the conversation got back to what it was originally supposed to be.

Well I had thought about naming her Maggie, but the fellas mum is called Maggie, and I thought maybe that would be weird.
Weird? I haven't even brought her home yet & I'm naming her!

i see the numberplate is 'KFL' you could try making a name out of that.
There's nothing wrong in naming it Maggie. We have a car called Agatha as it was previously owned by 'Lady Agatha Hindlip'. It's a nice momento of the cars history, and Maggie could have similar connotations!

KFL is a rubbish selection of letters! Or I'm just not creative enough.
My boyfriend is calling it 'The Neg Mobile' because we call our cats 'The Negs' and each other 'Neg' - Neg = term of endearment (don't ask)
I'm enjoying reading how names came about
