Late notice, I know, but has anybody got a spare front suspension rebound pad they can put their hands on? The Trav is missing the near-side one, and it clanks when it tops out. Ta.

Oh dear - I didnt get there...not that I got lost, I set off in the dark confident that I'd find my way (eventually) but Benny developed this rather concerning knocking noise at the front end which increased in rapidity with increased speed. I pulled into a garage at Brockenhurst and lifted the bonnet - it appeared to be from the fan / fanbelt / water pump (eek! :o ).
I decided not to chance breaking down in an even more remote part of the forest than I was in so I drove back home at a sedate pace.
The noise was much reduced when the car was idling, and strangely disappeared completely when I turned the engine off  .
Im about to put a note on the board for any suggestions as to what to do.
Hope you had a good evening!

Theres another meting at my daughters school this evening (my wifes gone along this time), if she's back in time I'll come over to the Empress (in the VW as Ive not been able to attend to Benny's clunking front end problem).
Hope to see you all later.
Mike.

Not sure if anyone can spare any time to physically help as we all have projects of our own on the go, but why not join us one thursday and any advice you need will be forthcoming i'm sure. :D

Not sure where we are off to this week yet though? :-?
