Thats the type of timing light i have gone for, This afternoon a manh walking past while i was in the garage started to tell me he had a CO meter that he wanted to sell, its not like a full on garage thing just a home user one but it cost him £150 so i am thinking it might be ok for setting my fuel.

I found the casting number 12G 1279 at least i knwo it is a midget block now.

Not at £150....... :o :roll: Just set the mixture for 'best idle' then check the plugs after a good run - looking for digestive biscuit colour.

OH no not at £150 i was thinking alot less maybe eben a swap for something lol, i also found a colouttune in a box i forgot about , are these anygood, if you don't know what they are it is a way to see inside the chamber while the engine is running.

Errrr - put the colour tune away beside the useless timing light........
A CO meter is a great thing - if it can be used either on a rolling road or in the car 'on the move' - then you can check the CO when say cruising on light throttle, and when thundering (?) up a hill on full throttle - all of which would guide you to a better profile for the needle in the SU. Obviously then it would need to be 12 volts - or run with an inverter.
