What is the black tube/cable resting on the back of the rocker box?
It will chafe when the engine is running.

haha i missed that one Marky well spotted
when i had a look found it was the speedometer cable
as its not connected to the head or clipped to the body

thought i was gonna be allright at first
looked okay i thought
then my pal said thats rubbish you need to polish it ,i have i said
give me a go with my detail polisher and 2000 grit paper
and the result is plain to see
all done in a garage with a 20 gbp spray gun
yup if you make a mistake with it you simply rub it down and start again
your are making a lot of progress yourself
i just love the underbody pics your car looks like it left the factory last week the underfloor is solid

How did the wood construction all go? I need to do mine in the next few months and to be frank i'm bloody terrified of it. I've got the 2 sides and some other bits, the welding that will be required will be sorted to... just the re-construction is quite a daunting task

hi Sparticus
yup i was lucky he wood only needed sanding and varnishing
the welding took for ever the welder failed but a new one replaced the faulty unit
the cost of sealy flux cored wire wasent cheap but made the better job than cheap wire
i reckon february might see her on the road
