There's a spring in her Chassis leg

Post by Multiphonikks »

...her chassis leg
her chassis leg

There's a spring in her chassis leg
on the right side
where's it from?

:D

Seriously. I just took off the gearbox cover and there's a spring resting in the chassis leg above the M/C. I can't see where it's come from or what it's meant to do. Any ideas?

Is it your brake pedal return spring is is that still connected? That's the only spring that should be in the leg.

No... it's not connected. But perhaps that's why the brake pedal wasn't going up correctly all the way back before I took Hebe off the road :)

Could well be. It's supposed to connect to the bottom of the brake pedal (well t'other side of the pivot bar) and then to a little eyelet tag in the chassis leg.
