The engine bay shown is that of my 1954 Series II with which I achieved Grand Masters status. The car is largely original, has had no welding carried out to the main shell and very little elsewhere. The originality of the car was very important to me at the time, and still is, therefore wherever possible I retained the original parts, re-finishing as necessary. In fact if you look closely at the right hand side of the bulkhead you will see the remains of the 'Deluxe' body sticker that has been preserved. As yet I have not seen another car with this still in situ.
The other car, my 1950 lowlight, is a car that as far as I am concerned is so original that I think it is far more important to preseve it in its current state than to restore it to Concours standards.
However to answer your question, to compete in Concours although originality is a factor in the marking system, it is not compulsory that all parts must be original to the car to which they are fitted. Providing that the car is not altered from the original specification, replacement parts can be fitted.
Hope this helps.
