bull motif "do all the brakes" kit

anyone used one of these?, i think theyre pattern, is there any reason pattern parts wont do the job,cheers steve

I seem to remember that there was trouble some time ago with pattern
wheel cylinders which actually damaged the rubber seals due to being wrongly designed. I cannot believe that a company like Bull Motif would sell
stuff like that especially for something as important as the brakes. 'Phone
them and ask some pointed questions. Did you get my e mail Steve?

I'd say, bearing in mind the quality problems with modern parts- if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The EKMM club keep a stock of genuine lockheed cylinders- if you go along on Monday- ask John Cross.

ah ha! gone in my junk mail willie,that looks great,dont know anything about these units ,r they as good as the later ones, does the knob just control fan speed or heat output?,looks just the ticket anyway willie ,thanks

It controls fan speed only Steve. My 'Round' unit was nowhere as good as
the later type despite thorough cleanout with acid.

so willie ,was that in another car or have u changed it,cos ive got a 1969 heater in the garage,but dont want too much extra work

I used an "all the brakes kit for £70" last year, but I cant remember if it was Bull Morris o The Morris Minor Centre at Raynes Park.
Which ever it was it came with Lockheed cylinders.

Its worth a couple of phone calls to check.

It didn't take long to do and now I have the peace of mind that its all done and nice shiney copper brake pipes.

STEVE...changing to a late type heater has got to be one of the worst jobs!!
The parcel shelf has to be changed to the later type which involves more
work than you expect and leads to much cursing (in my case anyway). It is
certainly worth it because your car does not have the elephants trunk fresh
air intake which you would find on the later cars so you end up with a recirculatory system which is quite efficient. I rate it as the second most
stressful job so far,after changing the centre cross member!
