If you have BARE metal work it is already going rusty! Rust
must be removed back to bright clean metal using Wet+Dry
abrasive paper,or wire brushes,or grinding discs,dependingon
on the degree of rusting. The moment you have removed the
rust you should apply some primer,and,as soon as possible,
apply some top coat. ANY top coat as long as it IS top coat
(primer is NOT waterproof) It doesn't matter what colour since
you intend to have it sprayed in the near future.

overjealous!!!! do you mean over zealous? :roll: Have a look at the techni tips section, on rust especially on the machines dark underbelly. :evil:
