I can hear my pump ticking when the engine's running. If you can still hear it at 60mph, then there's something wrong, but I should think that would be ok.

Incidentally, there's no need to try and type your titles in bold. For one thing, it doesn't work on this forum!

Anway, my pump used to be whisper quiet, until it packed up. I fitted a new pump, and it is audible from inside the car, when the car is either at idle, or driving slowly. Can't hear it over the rest of the noise at higher speeds though!! :lol:

That's fine, mate. No harm done, at any rate. :-)

Oh, yes. It's all Phyllis' fault! I had to fit a new pump when the old one packed up - whilst I was doing 50 - uphill - on a dual carriageway... Not a pleasant thing! :lol:
