Is it possible to fit power steering on the car?

Why? You have got a enormous steering wheel, and small tyres, no need for it at all, unless you are disabled in any way

We have fitted electric power steering, for a customer with a modified travelller in London, he found city driving hard an his arms. We have had many requests from minor owners with medical conditions that restrict muscle use or strength.
Unfortunately the electric power steering is very expensive, but it has an auto and manual mode. The system is very good though as you can adjust the weight of assistance throughout the range of operation.

I understand the complete electric power steering from a Punto can be adapted to other cars. Certainly some have been fitted to Minis - which with wide tyres and high power on the front wheels - with massive castor angle - can have very heavy steering indeed. But the Minor steering is feather light - provided the steering swivels have been greased and the tyres blown up to the right pressure!

Yes I agree about the inherent lightness of the Minor steering, but there are many people out there who require further assistance due to illhealth or a medical condition.
We fitted the MGF system and grafted this to the minor column, plus the box of tricks and a wheel sensor pickup point. Must admit the steering was very good with this mod, nicely weighted and speed sensitive.
