What seats fit? What seats have people had luck with? What look good? and has anyone manage to even change the rear seats? Lets see ya pics!!!

Whats wrong with the original just what you need for a long journey

Anything more than an hour and they give me backache!
Series II seats tend to be better for people over 5'6" than the later seats. Saab and Volvo seats usually top the comfort ratings, and Metro seats are commonly used too.
Rear seats can be changed, but I can't remember what is/was recommended.

Something more comfortable than the standard rear seats...... how about paving slabs!
More seriously, I firmed mine up by sticking a load of extra wadding into them. It makes them much more comfy. If money is no object then Newton commercial do superb replacement seats.

I've got Recaro seats in Carrie - though they do look a bit out of place in fabric. They're fab though

If they're barely used (like mine, she was never a family car) the back seats are *lush*. They're without doubt the most comfortable rear seats I've ever sat in. Bit bouncy though, and it's disconcerting when you first start driving a mog and the people in the back bounce out of time with the suspension... ;)

The front seats can be made a lot more comfortable; mine used to be hideous (in fact, the driver's one's back is going that way again - but I cheated when I repaired it... oh look, a cost cutting exercise of Kate's that means she has to do the same job twice.... </cynic> ;) )

Aaanyway, getting new webbing in there, and new foam totally transforms the seats; still not as comfortable as (some) modern seats, but a hell of a lot better. Mind you; I tend to end up 4 up in my car quite a lot and still haven't see anything which I think keeps enough rear leg room to make that remain reasonably possible*...

* A lot of my friends seem to be quite tall... In fact, for some of them, just getting in the back door of the minor's a bit of a trial.

I found the rear seat quite comfortable indeed.
As for front seats, buy a series II! Which have lovely seats

my new set for leather and reclining fronts, all new pannels (door, scuttle, etc) cost £1300 so it is definately NOT cheap

The Series MM seats are supposed to be the most comfy of the lot (standard seat wise).

Yes, I'd agree there.
I've done quite a few overnight trips of 700 or 800km in my Series MM & the seats are very comfortable.
It's amazing how much better the sidevalves run in the cool night air over here

I've fitted Mazda 121 seats in my '62 sedan (rear squabs & front seats). The front seats are great & the split fold rear seat works a treat

The rear seat squab folds nearly flat when the front seat is moved forward a bit (I have long legs & have my seat right back

).
The rear seat cushion base is just a Minor one recovered in the Mazda material - with a bit of extra padding inserted
