spoked wheel

Post by mal »

Just bought a lovely condition spoked wheel to set my '66' off, I've always prefered them and got a good-un last weekend.
Just noticed a Moggy on e-bay with one on and the indicator is on the right side of the wheel, is this wrong or do I have to change mine to the other side ??

thanks Mal

Replies seem to have got crossed.... thanks Andrew, I take it from your reply that mine is wrong and it should be on the right of the wheel ?
Do's the spoked wheel go strait on then ?

Depends on WHICH spoked wheel. If it's dished then it should go straight on, but of it's flat (earlier) then it won't.

The indicators should be on the right except for disabled cars which are on the left.

they do. the wire wheel and the safety wheel use the same system, the earlier MM/SII wheel uses the woodruff key system, which is completely different to the spline system on modern mogs

Thanks for your advise everyone :P

Looks like I'll have to alter the indicators and remember which side they are now on, getting confusing driving all these different cars   Yes Cam, the wheel is dished so it looks like I'll have no probs; then, apart from putting the indicators to the correct side.........and remembering when driving :o
