Ametech Engine Restore? Another Miracle Oil?

Post by dunketh »

Hmm... I smell something... something that may once have been a bull's dinner...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... OX:ENDSOON

What's the general opinion on this?
My initial reaction was to dismiss it totaly, along with such amazing inventions as the DIY electric supercharger.

However, there's so much informatin about this stuff online and it seems so well 'produced' could there actually be anything in it?
What would Macgyver do..?

I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong, but inclination and instinct tell me it would be best taken with a pinch of this... :D

If it's such a miracle product then how come vehicle and engine manufacturers don't use it instead of investing millions to produce engines that last longer than the previous ones...

Also, the classic car world would use it in tankerfulls if it did what it claimed to do! A tenner for a restored engine?

Mound of salt and barge poles spring to mind for some reason...

Go into google, put in ametech engine restorer and about the 6th down is the site 'Preloved/engine restore discussion uk' One of the Ametech directors tells you about it. Also they have a site of their own (cannot get the links to come across). I agree with CAM, if it's that good why haven't we heard of it before. The other intersting thing is it's under a fiver a can in Australia from any motor factor!
