Hi DP,

I'm in East London too. The branches list on this site seems very out of date as the London East branch ceased to exist some years ago. Your nearest club is now the North London & Middlesex branch. They meet at the Whitewebbs Motor Museum in Enfield on the 2nd Thursday of every month.

Thanks Louise. Since I've got my Minor back on the road properly about a month ago I haven't seen another Minor while driving. I saw a black one up at the biker's cafe near the Robin Hood roundabout but I wasn't in the Minor at the time. Are there many of us left in this area?

Hi Andy,

I'll keep an eye out and yes, I've joined the Dorset branch so will definitely be chugging along to events!

DP,

There's not too many of us about in the area. I drive a maroon 2 door. I've seen a brown / rose taupe saloon around the wanstead area, and a man at the end of my road has a blue traveller but that's about it. I'm around and about the chingford / epping area quite a bit at weekends but haven't seen any others recently.

Louise.

Hi, I'm not a member, though I was about 15 years ago.
I have had a 1952 Series MM since I was 17, which I drove to work in everyday come rain, shine or snow. Annie had no heater and during winter months had to stop every few miles to scrape the windscreen as it was a 30 mile round trip - oh happy days!
Since got married, had 2 children and Annie is in hibernation in the garage, couldn't part with her for love nor money, the children love to sit in her and pretend to drive.
Stumbled across this website by accident, and it's brought back some really great memories for me, and it's spurred me on to get Annie out and do the couple of jobs that needed doing 10 years ago!
If anyone has information on the MM Group that I've read about here I'd love to know more.
I've had Annie for 14 years and she was my first car. Since then I've had 2 low light mm's and about 6 Morris Minor 1000's. Annie was the only one to make an MOT though!

I was a member in the mid nineties but due to other commitments and being a member of too many clubs, I had to let some memberships go. I am only a member of the Morris Minor Car Club of Queensland and have been for quite some time.

These are just two messages posted by satisfied MMOC members, and with these in mind, I thought that I would ask what would make other non-member forum visitors join our club. At the last count, from those that voted in the poll, there are at least 31 of these.

I am sure you are aware that the MMOC is reliant on the subscriptions of its members, and that without these the Club, its well organised events, and even this website, so strongly supported, would not exist.

At present I believe that the MMOC is one of the best single marque car clubs around, and I for one want it to go from strength to strength and in fact get even better.

Which brings me back to my question 'What would make YOU join?

If you cannot think of anything, please join and help yourself and all other Minor enthusiasts to enjoy the Minor even more.

Remember, without your support the Club cannot support you.
