Gearbox Ratios

Post by PeterCrowl »

I've been trudging up and down the net looking for the ratios of the standard 4 speed gearbox ratios on the Minor 1000.
I've probably gone right past them..but not noticed.

Can anybody provide this information?

Thanks!

It's a briliant page for info - I've just melted my brain trying to work out what aSII with 948 engine, a sII gearbox and a 4.22 diff should be capable of
It'll probably be fine when the 948 is tuned a bit, and maybe changing to a 1098 gearbox (as the SII has a low third so it feels like you missed a gear when changing to 4th!)
But after looking at Cam's tables I'm wondering about going for a 4.55 diff
Ahhg - so many choices, so little time :o

where to break down next?

Ray (and others). Would a gear & diff ratio/rev/speed table be of use on that page?

Yeah - that sounds useful - e.g. vehicle speed at 4000 rpm
