Engine Size
Got a 67 2-door saloon. how do I tell the engine size / were they all 1098 by that time?

engine size
Don't know engine number Cam, and it's very dark! Reason i ask is I just had the whold thing overhauled, and on a slight downhill stretch today I was struggling to get it to 55mph!

What they did...recon gearbox, tele shockers front and rear, anti-roll-bar, overhaul clutch, clean out carb, new points / plugs, new seatbelts, bushes everywhere, linkages all renewedm, re-done, servo for barkes, new trunnions everywhere, new brake cylinders....oh, new seatbelts and mp3 radio fitted!..
I'm broke (and I think the car is a wee bit sluggish!).

I can listen to my radio in the minor. No problem at all. And I don't have any soundproofing on the floor except the carpets.

I've got no problem in mine either. And she's even lacking soundproofing she should have (the anti drum panel on the roof is missing).
It's my quality Waltham speakers, that's what it is...
I must get around to fitting the matching 8 track. I know it works now, although the head alignment seems to be a bit iffy, I think it might get better with use though... Of course, how much use it'll get is a bit questionable.

messing with the carb and changing points, plugs etc... is an easy way to make the car so slow (if something was done wrong).
Your 1098 should be getting up to 80 on the flat.

mines OK up to 50mph and then the stereo needs to go up way too loud. I lose the base first and so listening to music is like listening to someone next to you with headphones on REALLY loud.
