Its really easy to change it for another wheel, there is a single screw that holds the horn push on, you need to unscrew that and the push will come off. There is then a larginsh nut (I think its 1 1/4" AF) that you need to undo (but don't take it right off to start with..) rock/pull the steering wheel and it will come loose, then take that nut off and pull the wheel off. Replacment is very similar to reverse order (just do the right right up straight away)

If you want a non-standard wheel, you need to make sure the boss fits the spline on the steering column, and if the boss doesn't make provisions for it the horn wiring may need to be modified

Hope that helps!

Hello Graham,

to add to the earlier advice.
Assuming your wheel is correctly aligned, i.e the spokes are level when straight ahead (I know they are angled but looking at the point where rim and spokes meet) set the wheel there before removal, then it is easy to align the new one correctly.
I always use a soft heavy hammer to remove wheels, as they can sometimes be too tight to pull off. Certainly a puller is a better method, but I have never caused any damage this way.

Very easy to lose your front teeth when removing steering wheel, experience is a wonderful teacher.

...So leave the nut on a couple of turns when using the big soft hammer :-)
