Mixtures...

Post by Multiphonikks »

Is it just me, or do other people have to adjust the carb for winter running?

Nikki (Suspecting a carb in need of a service)

Only the idle really... The mixture should be OK.

What's the problem?

Yes, just adjust the idle - I raise it by a few hundred rpm so it seems quite fast on idle when warm.

Hmmm... Maybe it is the idle then. She (Hebe) is becomming recluctant to wake up as the mornings get colder! A few seconds with the throttle down and she's fine though :)

Yeah - perhaps it is the idle speed :P I'm having a dumb day :)

The idle speed should have no effect at all on the car's ability to start (unless you start it with no throttle).
