Fuel Pump

Post by martylemoo »

Hi,
My midget engine has the possibility of fitting a mechanical fuel pump, if i wanted to do this what would it involve? is it just a case of taking off the blanking plate and bolting on the pump? and will any a series mechanical pump fit?
Cheers

whilst i am here asking these silly questions, where does the fuel pump wire go after leaving the fuse box? is it just a case of fuse box, ignition, fuel pump?

There is no fuse - it's directly off the ignition circuit. If the camshaft has a fuel pump lobe then yes just bolt on. But some cams don't have the lobe so you would need to look inside through the wee hole and see !
