identification of HIF44

Post by KirstMin »

Hello, similar to another thread a while ago i know but I want to double check that my garage put in an HIF44 and not an HIF38. I know its the diameter of 'where the air flows through' but which bit can I measure, can I just take off the air filter and measure the diameter of the 'hole'? Or do I need to remove the carb from the inlet manifold?

Cheers :D

PS: enjoying the cricket anyone :o ?

Yes, just measure the 'hole' as you say. It should be easy to see then if it's 38 or 44mm. Actually you can tell just by looking at the carb as the 38 is physically smaller than the 44.

PS. Yes, I'm sure someone is enjoying the cricket!

Hi Cam, thanks as usual :). I'll just whip off the air filter then as I don't have a 38 to compare the size to!
Kirsten (me not the car) is my name and I'm male!!

I hate to admit it, and it's the only sport I'll tolerate, but I'm enjoying the cricket!
