The Wolseley/Riley 1500/1.5 cars are the Minor chassis with different bodywork !
The Riley front brakes are even harder to find than the Wolseley - but they have even wider shoes (still 9") and so will be even better brakes - however I recently completed a 'regularity run' up and down many steep hills - sometimes at unmentionable speeds ! - and had no trouble at all with these brakes. Last year on the same run with standard 8" brakes they were stinking hot - and faded away to almost nothing several times !
Shoes and cylinders are available ok - it's the backplates and the drums that are now unobtainable. The beauty of it is that they bolt straight on - of course it may be possible to use drum brakes from another car - say the bigger Oxford/A60 Farina range - but they won't bolt straight on - and the drums will need drilling to suit the Minor pcd - not rocket science - but still a bit of work.

And the sad thing is - I have contacted many 1500 owners selling parts on ebay - and often they tell me they sent the remains of the car off to the crusher with the brakes still on - usually it went 'just last week' !!

No - these are for the Farina range - they could maybe be modified to fit.
