The first check on a 1098 is whether it still has the original canister or has been converted to a spin-on filter. The club’s earlier oil-filter discussion identifies GFE103/MANN H813/1x for the original housing, while GFE166 is a spin-on reference. Those are different arrangements, rather than two brands of the same cartridge.
[Redacted], which I help with, lists [Redacted] at 88 mm high, 72 mm outside diameter and 32 mm through the centre. Those measurements are useful when an unfamiliar element looks too long. Check the fitted housing and old element before ordering, and confirm the housing seal and any other required pieces separately.
