While out in the garage looking for something entirely different I found this bottle jack. Im not sure about 1959 but at some point I think pickups were supplied with something similar. I have no recollection where this one came from. Extended height is about 14”, collapsed 5-1/2”. The body is alloy with the number “2710” cast in. The base is 5-1/2”x4-1/4” and appears to be cast iron. The top pad looks like it may have had ears broken off.
Could this pass as a correct jack for the truck?
Does anyone know how to disassemble it for cleaning and lubrication?
What would be the proper jacking points on a pickup? It would seem to require a long handle to reach the frame or axle tube.
Excuse the chrome lug nuts. Im not trying to look racy. The truck arrived with four different wheel stud lengths and as many different nut types. These were a cheap ebay find.

Re: Pickup jack
Thanks Les,
Where would the jack typically be located, in the cab behind the seat? Yours looks kinda short if used under the rear axle.
