Interrupter gear?

WW1 fighter pilots had some sort of interrupter gear to prevent them from shooting the blades off their propellors.

Do you have one on your Minor?

Screen washer squirters mounted on the scuttle seem to be designed to wet the underside of the wipers and little else.

This leaves the driver, or assistant, to time squirts to happen when the wipers are out of the way. Something of a distraction on wet dark night (not that we seem to have these any more).

What do you do?

I use the washers very very rarely. I would rather stop (if possible) and clean the screen manually. If absolutely necessary, I squirt first then operate the wipers and repeat.

Fit an electric pump and you can do the back screen at the same time.

Electric pump on a convertible? All I'll need is soap on a rope.

SII Wipers move so slowly there's no difficulty timing the press of the washer pump....
