Pickup brake cables

Should there be guides or grommets where the brake cables pass through the bulkhead? Pictures?
Should the carpet cover the cables? It’s been seven years since my blue ‘59 was towed away and I’ve forgotten the details. I don’t recall the exposed cables or large holes at the pass thru. I wonder if that was the entry point for the mice I found in the headliner and bulkhead trim.
I thought I had done a fair job with the new vinyl headliner but it appears that the glue is letting go already.

You need 2 of these Bill. Fitted where the cables enter the cab from the rear, no carpets over cables.

Bill, the underside has a circular raised boss that locates in the panel the cables pass through. Originally aluminium.

The original part number was AAA1630, which doesn't give any significant returns, especially in your part of the world.

Thank you both. Im up early, insomnia. 5:45 am here. Aluminum makes it easier to machine. I found some delrin in my garage stash when I made that carburetor spacer. That might be even easier. Very low friction no corrosion problems. Rain in the forecast today. Probably not much will be accomplished with the truck. I ordered some push in fasteners for the door cards to replace the many screws and washers that the PO used. Challenge will be locating the holes. Im using very thin luan plywood. Might have to find some clear plastic sheet to make a template.

FYI, Door Cards on some Commercials were held in by Screws, unlike the cars.
But I think you're right in Button fasteners for your pickup.

I highly recommend you look for pdf free downloads of AKD 3574 and AKD 3575, the parts manuals, where you can readily look up many specific details.
The Commercials have the benefit of all being together in those 2 documents.

I was searching ESM’s site last night for pictures of the front shelf with no results. There was a problem with my English to English translation. Found it under front tray. Nomenclature is important.

Yep.
I think it's actually 'Parcel Tray' for ESM, whereas the original was 'Tray-Fascia'.. which would give you Zero Results...
The ESM search engine isn't the greatest at finding results.
You can make a simple typo and instead of giving you the nearest to the word(s) you've typed, it will simply give a 'Sorry we can't find that' response.
