Brake and Clutch Pedal Shaft Removal

Hi Gang
It's been a while since I was on here or since I worked up the motivation to tackle one of my cars. I've (sort of) given up again today because I just can't figure out what to do.
I simply need to remove the brake pedal from the master cylinder and having taken more than a year to remove a split pin that had strategically hidden itself up tight to the link/fork, I cannot budge the securing pin through now.
The brake pedal restricts my access and the chassis leg restricts me from knocking it or pulling it through - so I'm a bit stuck.
Do I drill or cut the chassis leg out so I can get a big hammer on the b*****d thing or is there another more subtle way that somebody would kindly share with me please?

So it look like that pin is a bit mangled, thus preventing clean extraction.

Be grateful you have a later car and don't have the clutch pedal in the same tight space

If you can't get a lever of any type, i.e. tyre lever, crow/pry bar etc, in there to press it through, you may have to cut the bent bit off, but try to leave a little stub that can still be pressed on.
Cutting it here, the 2 tangs from the 2nd hole should compress in on each other.

Once cut as suggested by Berni drive a chisel between fork and head of the pin, wedges can exert lots of pressure.

Just unscrew the yoke from the master cylinder operating rod and remove the pedal and yoke as one after sliding the clutch pedal sideways. Or even just pull the pedal, yoke and operating rod out of the front of the master cylinder. There is no physical connection between the rod and the master cylinder. Once out of the chassis you can deal with the pin
