Austin A40 farina swap out
About to embark on an engine/gearbox/diff swap from a doner MK2 farina into a series 2 minor. Has anyone done this exact swap? Really looking for information what I can and cannot use from the doner car

Re: Austin A40 farina swap out
The only real difference is that the A40 has a hydraulic clutch which can be converted to mechanical using the Minor clutch release arm/carbon thrust.
Just make sure that the front plate (on which the release arm pivots) of the gearbox has the same part number. The part number is cast into the front plate. The number should be 22G118. If it is the same then the Minor mechanical release arm will fit with no bother.
The 4.22 diff will fit just nice.
