Anyone on the forum have experience, knowledge, information, or links to such regarding James ML125 two stroke motor bikes? Post war civilian model late ‘40’s maybe? Villiars 125cc hasn’t run since I bought it 50 years ago, probably ignition. Coil, weak magnets?
Obviously it hasn’t been a priority project but I would like to see it run before I stop running.

Re: James ML125
Excellent start. Thank you Bill. I have a book about Villiers engines but there’s more detail here. There was a James website that appears to have gone dark. Engine parts show up occasionally on eBay. I’ve seen fenders made in India as well but postage is prohibitive.
I bought it over 50 years ago at a country auction where as newly weds we were shopping for cheap home furnishings. I think it was $7. I managed to stuff it behind the seats of my $60 ‘65 MGB. We filled the boot and my wife’s lap with other household goods. She was happy I was happy. It’s 52 years today since we married.
