Gearbox oil leaking from bolt next to drain plug

Hello all,
The gearbox of my traveller is leaking a few drops of oil every day from the bolt next the the drain plug.
Any suggestions on how to solve this, is it save to remove the bolt?

In ws manual looks like sealed with washer 33 &34 and has plunger and spring behind the plug but just an educated guess maybe someone has actually removed one.

Thanks Bill, it looks like that one but I wasn't 100% sure as the image doesn't show the bottom of the gearbox where the plug is fitted. I'm afraid that when I remove it maybe I can't fit it anymore without taking the gearbox apart.

That’s always a worry, I would think it should be ok, the assembly would go through a drilling right up to the selector rod. If you do go for it, don’t mess with the gearstick while the bolt is out as Im sure the plunger locates in said rod. Your decision!

You could back it out but not fully, clean the thread and washer with brake clean spray. Apply thread sealer and tighten it, worth a try if your not confident enough to remove fully.

I was just thinking to do the same, probably need to drain the gearbox before.
