A large quantity of parts previously belonging to Charles Ware are now available for general sale by:
Westbury Car Auctions,
1 Kingdom Ave,
Westbury,
Wiltshire.
BA13 4WE
SATURDAY 22ND AUGUST 2026
AUTO JUMBLE
9.30 - 16.30
Cash offers on all items available to take away the same day. This is not an auction but an AUTO JUMBLE. All the stock now belongs to Westbury Auctions who are keen to move this on to Morris Minor Owners. Some has already been scrapped and I fear more will be lost forever if we don't act quickly.
Refreshments are available on site all day.
Cash preferred.
Please circulate this to your branches. We haven't been given much notice. Hopefully more sales can be arranged but this is not guaranteed.

The club already has a significant spares holding but with .nobody willing to take it on as a volunteer task.myoldjalopy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2026 7:55 pm Be good if the club could buy at least some of it........
Bryan Gostling has stepped down after many years and now only looks after MM/SII specific items.

Pity
If the club allowed someone to make a percentage on sales maybe someone would think it worthwhile taking it on - a few on here have been clearing out garages etc. leaving space for these parts!

Re: Liquidated Charles Ware stock
I have let the main office know about the sale and I'm still in regular contact with the staff at Westbury. It would be nice to get a couple of bulk buyers to save the body parts at the very least.
There is a grey split screen shell that has been scooped up with the parts. I'm told this was a customers car so will alert the auction to this fact as it shouldn't be sold. However, without an identified owner it's at risk of being lost.
Details:
Clarendon Grey or Birch Grey
1956
chassis numbers 430073 so it could be:
FBB430073
FBJ430073
FBS430073
I've asked the club if they have any idea who may own this. Any ideas as to how I might find the final owner?
I have a picture of it but having trouble uploading it.
Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Well done letting the club know about this. I wonder what there is in the auction of interior trim?
As for the split-screen, you would think the owner knew it was with Wares....perhaps they just gave up on it?
Be interesting to see what happens......
