Morris Minor MM / early Series 2 speedo's x 2

Post by jagnut66 »

Hi,
Just thought I'd post these up on here first, before I go Facebook Marketplace etc.
I have 2 x Morris Minor MM / early Series 2 speedo's surplus to my (real) needs.
I am looking for £45 each, if anyone on here is interested.
Best wishes,
Mike.

PS: Both do have glass in, I've simply managed to avoid reflections for a change.

1954 Series 2: 4 door: "Sally" -- Back together, more flatting and polishing to come, now the engine just refuses to run properly.......
1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)
1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......

Hi Peter,
Payment received, this will be in the post to you ASAP. Many thanks.

I now have only one of these left going spare for sale. I will post this up on Facebook as well.
Best wishes,
Mike.

As a post script, I have now been made aware by Bryan that there is a diffence between an MM speedo and one for an early Series 2.
The MM speedo is designated by the number 1600 under the needle and the Series 2 by the number 1000.
I would imagine this was because they were calibrated differently, namely an MM would be a 918 sidevalve engine and a Series 2 an 803 OHV unit.

I had one of each, so after asking Peter which car he has, I am now sending him the correct speedo for an MM.
Which means the remaining spare speedo that I have is for a Series 2.
Best wishes,
Mike.
