1275cc engine I.D
Hi, Can anyone tell me where my 1275 engine came from. The engine number pre-fix is 12CD-DA-H which is apparently an export to North America. I don't believe they had 1.3 Marina's in America. Hope you can help.

As regards the American Market - does the head have the air injection plugs fitted?
Air was forced under pressure into the cylinders to reduce pollution. See photo below:-

Thanks for the info. No the cylinder head does not have the air injection head fitted. Cheers Simon

Interesting Phil. Is that silver thing, belt driven, the so-called "smog pump" for North America?philthehill wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2026 9:39 pm As regards the American Market - does the head have the air injection plugs fitted?

The 'silver thing' is the belt driven smog pump.
The pump took a lot of power from the engine and performance was significantly reduced.
