rear hinge holes in new wood

hi is there any measurments for the drill holes for the rear hinges on brand new timber as there are no holes in the timber only brake and stop lights on rear doors on my traveller i hope somone can help me as i near completed my full resto on my 1958 1360 cc trav in claredon grey from top to bottom hope to here from you ,,,,,,kev

hi propshaft,thanks for your reply, what i ment was theres no holes in pillar or doors, so need the position mesurment were the hinges go,in know one hinges is between indecater and reflector, say, wats the mesurement from top of hinge to to of door ,,thanks kev

Top hole of hinge in door vertically down 4 1/4 ( four and one quarter inch ) to centre of top hole
Bottom hole of hinge in door vertically up 6 3/8 ( six and three eighths inches) to centre of bottom hole

propshaft , your a star man ,ive bean looking for these mesurments for ages,i can fit my doors now, onwords and up wards now , i look forward to meeting you one day,,i was in manchester branch with dave ward for years, then sold my then 2 door moggy ,so let my membo ship lapse, then hayo 20 years later , ive got a traveller , nearly fully restored, just bits and bobs to do then ill be on the rallys again ,, like i seid manny thanks kev

Looks like you are about in the same position as me I am just refitting the original wood frame after a full restoration of the car

The factory plans say 4 holes 17/64" Dia - Drill after body frame assembly to suit door hinge location.

The holes and locations in the LH and RH doors are shown on the factory drawings

hi mate is a 1958, traveller , claredon grey, , was in a barn for 37 years, and from front to back it was rotten,the only thing worth saving was all the intirior, it was like new , leather seats not even cracked, every panel replaced, chassis legs, all floor ,wings, doors,inner sills ,outer sills,,1360 a series engine, door pillars,rear panels,,frontspring hangers, ,full bare metal re spay in2 pack,all chrome,lights,all most every thing, im sure there a lot more,,allthough im retired, i had my own biusness restoring classic cars,, many famous one, including, a riley drophead once owned by marrilon munroe,,ive done allsorts, but my first love is a moggy,,if you go to youtube, type in morris minor verses l200 you will seeme and my moggy driving along m56 ,,finally got my rear timber all inline, nest step is take back off seal and glue every were and put back on so it onwards and upwards,, kev
