I have a GPO engineers telephone that might be of use to someone who is restoring a GPO van.
I think its from the 60s/70s so would fit into a van.
Any offers

I remember those, great things. I am tempted (as a former telephone engineer) but, as you say, it should go to someone with an ex GPO Telephones van. Lovely item.
One thing though, I expect people would like to know (roughly) how much you're looking for to buy it, a guide as such.
Best wishes,
Mike.

The Post Office and its telecommunications division (which became British Telecom in 1980) used Morris Minor vans extensively from 1953 to early 1972. While originally painted deep green, the iconic yellow livery with Post Office Telephones branding was introduced in 1969.The General Post Office (GPO) was the single largest customer for these vans, purchasing over 50,000 Morris Minors. The vast majority were used as utility vehicles by telephone engineers before being fully phased out by the early 1980s
