Rear wing flanges - help

Post by dudload »

Evening

Does anyone have any experience of fitting rear wing flanges? Me and a friend who has a decent amount of welding experience tried to fit one over the weekend, but wee completely stumped - the 'middle' bit of the flange just didn't seem long enough - about an eight shorter than it looked to be.

How much fettling is needed, as we just couldn't see how it would work. Pics velow

Unfortunately this is pretty much par for pattern parts, I've restored a number of cars over the years and the minor panels were some of the worst. It may be there is more than 1 source for panels, if notbite either modify tjem or make fro. scratch which I what I ended up doing for most of ours.
