Does anyone have some good suggestions for releasing a stubborn exhaust section?
I’ve tried soaking the joint in penetrating oil, and heating with a blow torch (not oxy-acetylene) before hitting against a pair of U-bolts clamped around the pipe with a club hammer but it won’t budge.
I need to re-assemble the exhaust later so I don’t want to cut it.

Cut a couple of slots lengthways in outer pipe only, with dremel or angle grinder this will allow expansion and penetrant to get in better.
It can be re-clamped on assembly.

Thanks Bill
I did consider that but your endorsement gave me the courage to try it out. Pleased to say it worked like a treat!
