No photos, but I’ve only seen two Morris Minors in my town. Both travellers. One is maroon, one black. The maroon one I’ve seen twice, don’t know the owner yet, but this whole minor obsession of mine is basically his fault
I didn’t even know what a MM was until I happened to park next to his traveller in Sainsbury car park. I said to my husband “ooh I like that” and hubby looked at the badge and said “it’s a Morris” and that was it for me

I went to a Boxing day classic car meeting not far from me and there was a few Minors there one was nice and shiny but untaxed since last year and there was another which had no insurance on it and had not been taxed since 1982 and rotten and holes under the wheel arches and had been driven there and it looked a death trap as I have seen better cars scrapped.

Yesterday, driving back from Lowestoft to the East Midlands via the A47 & A17 we spotted 2 Minors.

First one, a fleeting glimpse as it was going the opposite direction in the roadworks on the A47, between Blofield and Acle.
Black Saloon, external visor, possibly people cutters on the headlamps and a period roof rack.
Couldn't tell in the second or so that I saw it whether it ws S3 or S5, but it was single windscreen. Heading Eastwards.

Second one was a Green Traveller, ahead of us at Sutton Bridge, it went off down the Tydd Gote road.
I think it was a C Reg, but it was dark so just what I could make out in the street lighting.

Two brief bright moments on a boring drive home....

There's a few around Harrogate area yet I don't personally know any other owners. There's at least a lime flower traveller, a red convertible, a light blue saloon I see driving occasionally and my trafalgar blue traveller. There's also a yellow saloon, a van and maroon pick up but not currently seen them on the road Could be more.

Matt

Spotted this tidy looking 1967 E Reg on the A52 in Grantham at lunchtime, having a nice drive out in the spring sunshine....
Still frame from the dashcam.
I was driving my wife's Corsa at the time, on my way back from getting some new tyres fitted to it.

Think I over-did my enthusiasm today, pointed out a Trafalgar Blue Minor travelling along town to my Mother as we were walking along, then thinking that it was a local club member that we both know - I now don;t think it was - gave an excessively enthusiastic wave.... (I got a slight impression from the returned look they thought I was mad)

Terrible image, I really must invest in a new dashcam of better quality, but saw this Black S3 (4dr I think) on Flawforth Lane near Ruddington, Nottingham early on Tuesday evening.
Only got the briefest glimpse as it passed, but it appeared to have a 2+4 format Registration plate, rather than 3+3.
I thought the 2+4 format finished in the early 1930s. :-?
A Cherished transfer onto a Moggie perhaps, it's bugging me I couldn't remember the number and the dashcam isn't clear enough.

Spotted today (9.5.2026) on B645 at Chelveston, Northants, going through Higham Ferrers into Rushden. What a beautiful exampke with flawless maroon paint. It was a pleasure to be in the car behind!
