Not Compression issues

Post by gucu »

Hi All

I wrote another post to catalogue my journey with Rosie. I thought it was compression and my heart sunk only to find it was ignition timing. Have a read and let me know what you think please? If you comment on the post there might be tips for people reading the post to spot the difference between poor timing and low compression.

Thanks

Well, at least it was an easy fix - we like them! 8)
But why was the timing out? Had you recently fitted the new electronic one?

I have had a lot of work done on the engine. Yes to recent fitting of the electronic ignition bit also head rebuild and bottom end bearings fitted. I think the engine was settling in.
