As I said, it works for him; but I'm not convinced he's solved the actual problem, rather just over engineered his way around it.
How many Minor owners, or any other classic car owners, have a Lathe to work with? 5%, 2% ???

Seems to have been a lot of bother when a quick reset of the pedal would have centralised the cable in the cable holder/bulkhead.
The swaging on my throttle cable fits inside the cable holder as per the OPs modified holder. Not all aftermarket throttle cable swaging is as per the factory diameter/style.
The accelerator pedal is so easy to remove to adjust as required. To get a better foot position I lengthened the arm to the foot pedal and fitted a Paddy Hopkirk aftermarket pedal pad.
The cable holder is the one that was fitted in 1957 at the factory and have never had a problem with the original method of fitting. It all works as it should with no fouling. Which is good as there are two strong springs fitted to pull the throttle levers (two 45 DCOE Webers) closed.
Some people seem to assume this was a major project. It was not.
Time taken:
Remove cable and guide - 5 minutes
Make cup of tea - 5 minutes
Measure parts and decide on a plan of action whilst drinking tea - 15 minutes
Turn ferrule to fit guide - 3 minutes
Refit on vehicle - 5 minutes
Total time - 33 minutes
Cost - a small amount of electricity, mostly heating kettle
Rather less time then than writing the above post, and doing the explanatory drawings.
I shall leave it to you, Dear Reader, to decide which was the bigger waste of time. I have my own opinion and I shall not trouble you again.
Please don't be put off the forum. People have their opinions but nobody is saying things to be deliberately spiteful. This forum is a great asset and you are far more likely to receive a sensible answer here than the 98% garbage responses on the Facebook page.

I don't know why he feels the need to make comments like

I didn't get that idea from anyone nor did I say or imply that.
It's my belief that he has engineered a solution to a problem which may have been at the Carburettor end or simply required a drop of oil in the casting.
But as I clearly said
His car, he's fixed it.
End of story.
