Hi Morris Minor club
I have been gifted a early 1950s Morris Minor...it is a total rot box...been used as a parts car for years...I was also gifted a 1972 Oldsmobile rolling chassis...so I am planning putting the Morris Minor body on the free Oldsmobile chassis...
I also plan to probably run a Pinto motor and transmission under the bonnet...rear wings will probably not be part of the initial build...a full 8 point roll cage will be part of it too.
Would you folks be interested in me posting it on here?
Also if I was to post it where should I post it???
My end product is going to be an old Jalopy style build but to be driven on the street.
Thanks for any insight.

Sounds like it would be more suited under ‘Restoration projects’ although not a Minor as such, some would no doubt find it interesting.

Agreed, it would be interesting to see the challenges and solutions. We try to be welcoming and inclusive, and have s Custom & Modified Register who have produced some great vehicles. Post away

this is what we are starting with...

Here is the chassis I was given

This picture is from last fall...this is a really rough piece...I hope I can make something of these two pieces...

No paperwork for it but it does have VIN tags so I should be good to go...
Trying to get the 1967 Datsun truck out of the shop so I can get the chassis into the garage so I can shorten it like 20 inches...narrowing it too...
No big motor for it...I found a 2300 Pinto motor from 1980...looking for transmission next...A 4 speed will probably be the one I will need.
I love rusty metal under my finger nails...so this old heap should be a fun one to bang on this summer...
