putting a new heater valve assembly kit as old one is stuck after i painted the block started a through degrease and scrape to start with is there anything i need to put on the brass thread that goes into the aluminum plate that bolts to the block via a gasket i feel there should be something there are my instincts right or wrong ? even plumbers tape ta

The brass heater (tap type) valve should have a fibre washer that does the sealing so you should not need to use PTFE tape on the threads. If you want to, I don't see why not. If the tap doesn't line up properly when tightened down onto the washer, use another washer or two.

so today had front wheels off put it on stands to get under to start the cleaning process amazing how oil and dirt look after whats under it so as wheels off decided to grease my nipple then took the brake hub off to have a look what the condition was inside all good quick spray of brake cleaner drivers side all good wound out the shoes till no movement then backed it off but on other side just couldn't get it to be like other side i then run out of daylight put wheels on and took it up and down my road didn't feel right offside juddery so tomorrow i will be having the wheel off again and adjust the shoes bleed break i have a sneaky suspicion the hub is not so round i think it was adjusted just right and i didn't notice anything if that don't work i could get it skimmed or the easy option get a nice shiny new one do i have to get a hub for the other side as well keep thing even or just do one as its not what you call a fast car

When you say 'hub' do you mean 'brake' drum?
If all was ok before you removed the brake drum I would leave it a while and see if it settles down. You may have some displaced brake dust causing the brake to judder.
