I’m assuming they meant the England flags that are attached to EVERY lamp post.. at least that’s how it is in our town
Took Nell out for her longest drive yet… 50mph roads.. fell in a bloody pot hole
The thing was so big I could not avoid it…. Luckily I wasn’t doing 50 but it still made one heck of a bang. Nell is ok.. checked her over when we got home but not going near that road now til they fix it!

OH, that why I didn't know what was meant, none where I live. Apart from the odd actual flag pole. Perhaps it's a city or regional thing?

Glad Nell wasn't damaged, my Daughter ruined two tyres within a week on two different roads, its getting ridiculous.
A guy on the regional news hit one on an E scooter and face planted the road. Ironic as it was a legally hired one, from the same council that hadn't repaired the road https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crrx770gqx4o
Recently, I saw a man cycling through some floodwater. He went right down in the water, bike and all, because (as he explained to me when I asked what had happened) he went into a deep pothole!

Without getting all political on here I think there was some stuff happening on the news (which I didn’t really concern myself with) but it was kind of a protest thing where people were putting flags everywhere, the council gave up trying to take them down so now they are just everywhere

Ooh sorry to hear that! My husband and I used to frequently write off our cars as youngsters because we used to go on ghost hunts which often involved driving down potholed lanes to some abandoned house or something
Now it kind of feels like that again except we are on actual public roads
The ongoing problems with potholes is getting worse, as quite often the repair is a rushed job, with poorly laid macadam, no edges/joints sealed with bitumen to prevent water getting in thus preventing the macadam from lifting up. Newly repaired potholes often deteriorate after a few days.

There was a guy on our local news a few days ago, reporting that he had damaged a wheel & tyre on a pothole.
But in his tale, he said he hit a pot hole with a 'bump' and then a few minutes later he went up a kerb to clear the way for a Police car on Blues, and that's when the tyre 'went'.
What was he doing going up a kerb to get out of the way of the Police vehicle, especially with low profile tyres? I bet he wasn't down to 1mph to mount the kerb.

There is a company here in the UK that makes mobile machines that spray a special tar in to pot holes and fixes them using a hand held lance, hardening in minutes.
They are called velocity patching and if your local authority dont know about them then they should.
