Back to basics ( seats !!)

Previous owner had installed seats from a rover in my 'new' Traveller. They are comfortable but seem to be generally to big for the car, also they don't tip forward so no easy access to the rear!
I have the old seats which will scrub up fine, once we replace the webbing I think they will be comfortable enough for the short journeys we will undertake ??
The frames at the bottom are very rusty, is there a common fix ? just weld on new tube? possibly weld in some rod? or a mix of both?

It depends on the physical characteristics of the individual but I personally find the standard seats comfortable and so do my passengers. Some of my passengers are surprised because the seats don't look like they will be comfortable! The advantage of modern seats is that they do have head restraints reducing the risk of neck injury in an accident.

As to the frame, it depends on whether the rust is so severe that it compromises the structural integrity of the seat. Second hand frames are not difficult to find if needed.
