Anti roll bar pivot lubrication.

Post by philthehill »

The question has been asked about the lubrication of the ESM/Owen Burton anti-roll bar pivot points.
This is what I have done - fitted plates to the underside of the bottom plastic mount, drilled a 5.5mm hole and tapped the hole for the fitment of a 1/4" UNF short grease nipple in the plate which is aligned with a 1/8" hole through the bottom bush. See photo below for the finished article.
The grease will not effect the bush but will help alleviate wear and squeaks.
These are the plates I use for the bottom bush as the bosses fit nicely into the counter bore holes of the bush and keep the bush from moving/fretting.

Ordinary Castrol (or similar) LM grease will do.
