Seatbelt fixings

Post by Bry »

Hi, does anyone know where to get long seatbelt bolts and spacers for the upper fixing point on the 'B' post on a Traveller.
Trouble removing worn convertible hood locating pins.Screw heads rounded off. Thinking whether to try cutting bracket carefully with my cut off tool.

A Morris Minor specialist?
A seatbelt business?
When I last purchased a set of new seatbelts, they came with a large selection of different length bolts included.
I'd be surprised if they were very difficult to obtain with a bit of ringing around

7/16 seatbelt bolt search on fleabay brings up dozens of options,
have you bothered to do any searches?

I have two of the special 7/16" UNF spacer bolts/tubes as used for installing the seat belt upper anchorages to the 'B' post of a Morris traveller.
They are used to go through the wood capping attached to the 'B' post.
Below is a photo of the spacer bolts.
The general dimensions are:-
Length under tube head......2.875".
Outside dia of tube.....9/16".
Thread in tube......7/16" UNF.
Dia of tube head ......3/4". There are two flats on the tube head to attach a spanner.
See BMC Minor wksp manual Section R 38, fig 56 for details.
Qty 4 spacer bolts/tubes are required when fitting the seat belt as shown in the wksp manual.
