Which workshop manual?

I use the blue one too, but I also use the black parts catalogue which is very useful for exploded diagrams and of course, part numbers.

Well I haven't bought one yet, indeed I feel a bit shamefaced for starting this off!

There is little logic to pricing but having spent a lifetime in publishing I would prefer to get something that has a copyright line in it. At least this would show that whoever produced it has made an effort to attain the rights to publish from the current copyright holder.

I don't mind oily fingerprints but will draw the line at blood!

Workshop manual arrived from World of Books this morning.
Condition - as new! No finger or work marks either.
Well worth the money.

Phil, The one from World of Books, is it bound like a book or ring bound? I assume it is the Brooklands edition?

Also, how many pages? Th download I have has 443 pages which seems an awful lot!

The Brooklands Blue Cover one is actually 460 numbered pages in total....

The workshop manual is a Brooklands publication. It is book bound. As regards the number of pages I have not counted them but they appear to be all in place including the front pieces and rear pieces.

Sadly missing from these later editions is the General Information and Maintenance Sections.

Having now looked through the Brooklands edition my opinion overall is that whilst the publication is good the reproduction of the illustrations could be better. This does seem to be a problem with reproductions overall.

Personally I would baulk at paying the full Brooklands price for the manual but paying for the S/H edition from World of Books was acceptable.

I must have an early manual ———— AKD 530D. However more use to me are AKD 3574 and 3575 (LCV Mechanical and Body)

After a little negotiation...14th edition, £10.00 plus postage, used.

We'll see what it looks like when I get it.
