Yes, it is very early in the series but it's not a timber dashboard..
Well in that I say, it has no timber board, but has the metal support panel that all MM series cars. When referring to MM series, I meant it's not the updated facelift when they changed to the central speedo.
I have contacted British Heritage to see if they can help as I can't find whether the Cowley built cars were sequentially numbered in UK production, or if there was a separate batch numbered specifically for Australian export. Of course when Zetland took over with CKD, they started their own numbering system so that doesn't apply here.

All RHD split screens (MM and SII) had the wiper motor mounted on the right side. Access can be a right pain though so I could understand if someone wanted to swap it around.

Well my '51 MM series definitely had it on the left. It was a restored car, so who knows what was done to it.
