Type 9 Gearbox Quick Shift

Post by bobtail4x4 »

My traveller has a type 9 box, when I go for reverse, the lever rubs the passenger seat and passengers legs, :D
I bought a Quick Shift Kit off ebay, hoping the slightly reduced travel will help,
the instructions are poor,
anyone fitted one?
looked on U tube lots of after videos, cant find any "how to"

had the gear lever off and put it back on,

These are the instructions for the aftermarket quick-shift I used on my Ford 2000E gearbox and as far as I am aware it is the same style as the type 9but please check before doing any modifications.
To get the quick-shift it raises the centre of pivot.
The aftermarket quick shift which the instructions below refer to has now been superseded by a purpose made Quaife quick-shift lever.
